WILL

GUITARS/VOCALS

I started learning guitar at school in 1975 after the art teacher asked if anyone would like lessons. I'd already got a guitar after pestering my Mom..

I'd been inspired after hearing Mick Ronson playing on Bowie Records.

Did my first gig in 1981 at West Park College with my first Band called Unit Four..

My second band was called Wishful Thinking and we played many gigs around the West Midlands including a regular spot at Snobs Nightclub...

My third band thought we'd hit the big time in 1986 when we signed a publishing deal and spent months in a recording studio but it wasn't to be and it disbanded..

I drifted from band to band for a few years until joining Tobacco Road. A replacement for Johnny who had been sacked but that's another story..

I'd met Johnny a few times and liked his amazing voice and we seemed to be on the same wavelength...

I then spent the next ten years playing in The Elevators which was the best band I'd been in and had huge success in Birmingham clubs.

Then came 2B40 which I'm still part of.. Johnny had to stand in for a year while Dizzy recovered from heart surgery.. During this time we talked about putting a band together to play Blues and Rock.. Good fortune led us to Ledsticks and after a meeting in our local pub we became Tunky Pig.. The rest is history yet to be made. Watch this space...

Will likes Gibson guitars and British amps.. Marshall Laney and Vox..

Will's motto is use your ears. If it sounds great it is great..
